Use the same measurement unit for original and target dimensions.
Formula: scale factor = target dimension ÷ original dimension. New dimensions = original dimensions × scale factor. Printer scale = scale factor × 100%.
Scope: This preserves geometry only. The Lace Guild notes that thicker thread may require a larger pricking and thinner thread a smaller one; the amount remains pattern-specific.
